A host of golden daffodils

I thought I'd share this little make - a daffodil card with one of Sheena's taste of India embossing folders in the background.

A restrained little number but this was a card for a person rather than a sample and designed to match the recipient's personal taste. The tiny daffodil stamp was repeat stamped and the whole thing coloured with Spectrum Noirs and then triple embossed.

Have a great Easter weekend

Sheena's 4 day deal

Hi all,

Hope you have been enjoying the live Sheena shows the past couple of days? Tomorrow she has 3 more and they may be the final ones this week at 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Remember to email in for a chance to win the fabulous picture and frame made by Goph himself!!

I also thought I'd share a little some I made for mother's day:

Now the reason for sharing it is that you might just notice how well the Taste of India range stamps compliment the recent Butterflies and Florals . It certainly had an impact! :-)

Enjoy the shows tomorrow

Tomorrow, tomorrow!!! :-)

It is a glorious morning here and I am worn out just watching the London Marathon!

So finally we are here and tomorrow is lift off - Yay!!! 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. tomorrow on Create and Craft - definitely one to watch :-)

Here are today's offerings with a focus on the amazing folders - they are perfect in their own right but also compliment the stamps beautifully:

This is one of the 5 x 7 folders - Indian Bouquet- I inked the folder with versamark and then embossed it in black. The distress inks used were, Picked raspberry, Mowed Grass and Salty Ocean - so quick and simple!

The second card  followed the same process of inking the folder with versamark but this time on the de-bossing side. The Mandalla folder is an A4 so, to make it easy on myself I used a brayer to apply the versamark ( Less chance of it squishing into places you don't want it to be!) I then embossed a sheet of heat resistant acetate and used a black embossing powder. The vibrant colours are Luminarte Silks painted on the reverse.

Have a fabulous Sunday - and enjoy the shows tomorrow

Prevening ( BBT fans will understand ;-)) All,

I hear tell of much merriment planned for the  launch of this latest range on Monday on Create and Craft - I truly believe you will want to see it (wink, wink...) You can also find some other amazing samples by Sheena and the Inkoids if you click here

I am going to dive right into this  prevening's  blog with this:

A subtle little number I'm sure you agree :-).

The MDF hanger was painted using Luminarte Silks and over stamped in Stazon using that gorgeous paisley stamp. The flower is again painted using silks.

So tune in again tomorrow for a final peek - before launch.

Have a great evening!

Day 3 Taste of India sneaky peek :-)

Afternoon All!

By now folks have picked up that Sheena has a new launch  on Monday on Create and Craft; a four day deal no less. (If it lasts that long...personally; I wouldn't bet that it'll hang around ...I think this collection is STUNNING!!)

The stamps and folders are simply divine and work so beautifully together - there is also a resource CD with 40 yummy backing papers that the Inkoids had a hand in doing!

So today's card is .......

of course, a regal tiger! The 8 x 8 card uses one of the backing papers from the CD which was then over-stamped using that fab edge stamp. The cutest little elephant stamp frames the ribbon.

I used the ornate arches folder very simply with distress ink and then attached the tiger ( that stamp alone is over 3.5 inches wide!!). The embellishments are leaves made with the A4 embossing folder that were then clear embossed. A good card for a fella perhaps?

It is so easy to play and get inspired with this collection. Sheena has also filmed some EXCLUSIVE demos on the resource CD for extra inspiration! ( Its definitely on my shopping list!)

So might be worth checking your recording device of choice is set for 8 a.m. Monday!!

Finally, thank you for the lovely comments - they really are appreciated xxx

Spicy and spiritual - my 2nd sneaky peek .

Evening all!

Today has been a BUSY day so apologies that this sneaky peek is a little later than planned. I thought I would share this spicy offering:

The rich, vibrant tones of this card are a marriage of 5 of my speccies with  the new mandalla stamps  that are a part of the Taste of India range and then getting lost in the zentangle process. It was a really joyful card to make...if that makes sense! Within the orange zentangled background you can just spot the tiny floral stamp :-)

Sheena's 4 Day Deal on Create and Craft starts Monday at 8 a.m. and it promises to be a spectacular that I am absolutely sure you will want to see!! I understand that Douglass towers was groaning under the mass of samples arriving from me and my fellow inkoids today - if you click here you will find the links to the DT blogs! - Enjoy!!

More tomorrow :-)
