Good morning Monday! Sneaky Peek Day 6!!

Well, the last sneak peek of the new stamps from Sheena Douglass that launch tomorrow on Create and Craft with Leann Chivers. The show times are  10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6p.m.

Today I thought that tulips were in order. The plaque is made from a mountboard circle with of course the glorious Pebeo Fantasy Prisme and Moon paints:

The close up shows the paint effect more clearly:

For a different look I also had a play on a mirror plaque:

Thank you for the feedback over the last few days and welcome to my new followers. I have truly enjoyed playing with these new stamps and paints and hope that you will too. One final thought  to share: not only are these paints versatile a little goes a long, long way !!!
Take care and enjoy the shows xxx

So what IS in the box? Sneaky Peek 5

Good Sunday afternoon :-)

Hope that you are well and avoiding the worst of the weather? So to reveal the contents of my upcycled box:

Ta Da!! :-)

I had great fun creating these using the Pebeo Fantasy Prism and Moon Paints  and thought I'd share a couple of close ups:

The jewellery bases ( known often as cabochon trays) are readily available in bead shops or ebay. You just drop the paint in and wait for it to do its thang! The jewellery pieces have been topped with Pebeo Gedeo Clear Resin - which took me right back to playing with Plasticraft - Anyone else remember that??
Ring and cufflinks
Couple of pendants
Final sneak peek tomorrow before Leann Chivers channels Sheena Douglass for the live shows on Tuesday on C&C

What's in the box??? Day 4 Sneaky Peek

Well, day 4 so only 3 days to go until Sheena's new stamps and the lush Pebeo Paints launch on C&C.

The stamps are gorgeous but today I want to spotlight the Pebeo Fantasy Prisme and Moon Paints. This up-cycled cheese knife box was another of the samples that very nearly didn't leave me...

I just adore the lid:

It is a mixture of Prismes and Moon and I just kept adding until I felt it was right. The sides of the box were painted using Fantasy Moon Ebony which gave a slightly hammered finish:

But what's in the box?? All will be revealed tomorrow.

Stay safe and warm xxx

Pretty as a Picture - Day 3 Sneaky Peek

Bit later that usual with my post today due to mother of colds attacking me overnight but hopefully it will go as quickly as it arrived !

I have fallen in lurve with this latest set of stamps from Sheena and the Pebeo Paints that work brilliantly on glass:

Today's offering combines 3 of the new stamps with the Fantasy Prisme and Moon paints and a cheap as chips frame picked up for £2.99.

The close up above shows the different effects quite well: The mosaic effect is the Prisme Paints and the " mother of pearl" finish is the Moon Paints - the white and the pale yellow petals. The green / white effect is  the tiniest drop of Moon applied to the Prisme paint whilst it was still wet.

Hope the weather is not causing you too many problems - stay safe and dry xx

I'm ready for my close up Mr B DeMille! Sneak Peek 2

Morning !!!!

Me again ! Today's sneak peek is a card with a hidden gift. Using the gorgeous new stamps coming on 27 November from Sheena Douglass teamed with Pebeo Fantasy Prisme Paints and a supporting cast of Spectrum Noirs ( Yes, I finally have them!!) So, here's the card including one of my favourite background techniques of Spectrum Noirs and blending solution:

And a close up of the "topper" or is it???? I adore the mosaic effect - playing with these paints I discovered that watching paint dry really is fun :-)

and the reveal:

The topper is a detachable fridge magnet  - I spent several mins putting this on and off the card before packing it up...its the little things that amuse me :-)

Have a wonderful crafty day

Sheena Douglass Sneaky Peek Day 1

Hello All,

Well finally I can share my first sneak peek of some fabulous new Pebeo Paints; Fantasy  Prisme and Fantasy Moon teamed with some glorious new stamps for the amazing Sheena Douglass!!!! Leading to the BIG LAUNCH on 27 November on C&C

Excited doesn't begin to describe it! I thoroughly enjoyed this sample making challenge and could have gone on and on :-)...

So, without further ado please welcome my first sneak peek. The image ( from the new stamp sets) is painted onto acetate - well, I say painted but there is absolutely no necessity to use a paint brush!

The image has been matted onto glitter cardstock and black mirri  - I love the end result, so much so it was one of several items that nearly didn't make it into the sample box!

I do hope you fall in love with them as much as I have - more tomorrow

Distress backgrounds

Morning! I thought I'd share a recent card that I made for my nephew. Boys can be such a challenge especially when cute or character are not options. It reminded me of the images of deep space. The background is distress inks which was spritzed with water to create texture. Layers were then added with fob watch stamp and sentiment (clarity I think) and white acrylic paint. Sequin waste was used as a mask on add the dots and the whole thing finished with a spritz of Luminarte radiant rain. A sentiment topper (embossed with clear deep embossing powder) was then added.

The insert was a collage of images of my nephew doing the things he enjoys.

Have a crafty day xxx

Hellooooo!

I have been remiss with my bloggery lately - luckily this does not reflect a lack of crafting but quite the opposite! So buckle in for the coming weeks in which I will be sharing some new toys that I have been playing with and some crafting that took me out of my personal crafting comfort zone.

I have decided in a gentle re-entry to blogland with some character crafting. I don't usually do "cute characters" but the following cards have been made teaming my beloved H2O's ultimate romance set, with a couple of the new SWALK range stamps being launched by Crafters Companion  on 14th November on Create and Craft - I have also been playing with my ebosser as you will see. Have to say at the moment I  lurve it!

The first card is the Grandpa's SWALK which has been mounted using a boingy spring ( made me smile- anyway!) onto some embossed background coloured with H20's - very blingy in real life! The second card is the one in a million SWALK with the most adorable dalmatian pups

Hope you like . Have a great day xxx

Today's the day!!!!!

Good morning all! Well today's the day - It's Friday, It's 11 o'clock and its a Sheenathon! (Create and Craft Freeview 36)

Hopefully you have the remote at the ready or, for the more technologically minded, your recording device of choice set. This card has been made combining elements from 2 of the new sketchy stamps, Our house and Postbox:

The 8 x 8 card has been water-coloured using Whisper pens. I hopefully will be back in time to catch the live shows this afternoon - assuming of course there are any stamps left... I have my doubts!

Take care and thank you for all your support this week!

Sneaky peek Number 4!!!

Well, this week is flying by and tomorrow is D-Day! I have had great fun with these new sketchy stamps from Sheena Douglass. Today 2 cards using separate elements from the same set -  Christmas is on its way:

I hadn't made a rocker card before so this was definitely playing and I am delighted to report that it does rock! The base is made using centura pearl card painted using pourables. The image is coloured using Whisper pens I have used some flower-soft on the tree.

The second card from the same set is a quick make. The back is embossed Centura Pearl card and the image is coloured with promarkers. The only addition is a tiny letter to Santa and a bow...

Hope you are all having a crafty week! xxx

Day 3 and sneaky peek 3!

Well good afternoon folks - hopefully these scheduled blogs are working...

I love the versatility of these new Sheena sketchy stamps that are being launched on Friday 14th September on Create and Craft ( according to the schedule as I write this is billed as Sheena's half price show at 11 a.m.) New stamps in a half price show?!!! Wow...

Today's card has been given a decoupage makeover:

Three stamps this time - The Winter Sheep, Our House and the Snowman. In each there is one layer of decoupage and they are encased in 5 inch boxes made with my trusty ultimate pro. For once I have used both sides of the Centura pearl - the right side for the boxes and the wrong side for the images which have been stamped and then water-coloured using Whisper pens. Glitter and iced diamonds complete the wintery feel. Below is a close up of one of the boxes.

Hope you approve and I hope the samples are giving some idea of the usability of these new sets

Until tomoz - xxxx

Day 2 of Sneaky peeks of Sheena's new sketchy stamps

Today I am going to try a monochrome theme  using 2 of the new sketchy stamps being launched by Sheena D on Friday 14th September.

First off what can be more festive than mistletoe? This stamp is great and I loved the striking end result of this card:

The mistletoe has been stamped with Adirondack Pitch Black  on 5 x 5 centura pearl and edged with distress ink (black soot). The mistletoe border has been embossed using WOW opaque white on black card which has been edged using a Krylon pen.

For the second card I have used the winter sheep set. Whilst this image can be Christmassed I think the monochrome makes it suitable for male relatives or perhaps even a sympathy / condolences card?:

The main image has been stamped using black archival onto cream watercolour card. The shading has been added with black soot distress ink and water. The background is made using Sheena's wood grain embossing folder and the whole thing finished with a flourish!!

Ta da! - ( Just like this post!) Have a great evening xx

Can it get any better?- New Sketchy stamps from Sheena!!!!

Hello folks

Well this post is a first in a couple of ways:

My first sneak peek of Sheena's new Sketchy stamps that launch on Friday  and
My first go at scheduling a whole week of posts - I will definitely need your good wishes if this is going to work!

Though some of the stamps have a wintery feel they are versatile and to give a flavour I have decided to go with the Robins.

( I was so pleased that Sheena added this to the selection I spent ages looking for a natural looking robin last year - I even resorted to trying a freehand version with very dubious results!)

Anyway cutting the waffle - here goes:

I have stayed with a traditional feel here - the holly, bow and sentiment are all part of the set and the nest? Well, look closely and you might spot that it is made from the twiggy part of Sheena's paint fusion set!

The whole thing is done on Crafters Companion watercolour card and painted using a mixture of walnut stain distress ink, whisper pens and Luminarte pourables.

However for the second I had a bit of a play....

In this card I have again used the paint fusion wreath set in conjunction with another robin from the stamp set, the bow stamp has been transformed with a gingham makeover. The tiny daisies in the Paint Fusion daisy set  are used for decoration and, as any fusioneer will tell you, are uber easy to paint!  The robin has been done with promarkers this time on Neenah card. The whole thing has this been matted onto coordinating card-stock for a spring/ summery feel.

Have a great week - please check back as I will be posting different samples each day. By now Sheena no doubt has had another successful day on Create and Craft  and we can all look forward to another Sheenathon on Friday 14th September!

A final bit of bloggery and sneaky peeks before lift off

Good evening and soz for the lateness of the blog today: I was off having fun at GMEX  with a crafty pal having been fortunate enough to win a pair of complimentary tickets on Jak Heath's blog - thanks again Jak!
But I digress! So tonight to make amends 2 peeks: They are both aperture cards (my first attempts at such a style so be gentle with me!) and made using a corruption of the caught in crystal technique using PVA instead.

The first is using the Flying Colours  set and the second the Hidden Fairies set of Sheena's.

Just in case anyone hasn't picked this up you can see Sheena demoing these on C&C tomorrow at
10, 1 and 6.

Have a great evening guys x

Good morning world its a brand new day!!

and time for another sneaky peek of Sheena's new silhouette stamps that launch Friday. Today'd offering is using the Pinescape set teamed with Luminarte pourables - distress inks and a little acrylic paint!

The pourables have been used on the backing paper which started life as a piece of silver paper and to thin down the white acrylic that makes the snow..You may also see a hint of shimmer spray (blue pearl) in the night sky.

Hope that you approve - and once  again thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment xxx

Sheena's new silhouette stamps - a kaleidoscope of butterflies!

Good evening peoples!

Today's sneaky peek is from another of Sheena's new stamp plates that launch on Friday on Create and Craft (10a.m. 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. if the schedule hasn't changed overnight.) Today I have chosen another favourite from the Flying Colours stamp set - this has THE most gorgeous and big dragonflies and butterflies.

The card is totally painted with Luminarte pourables  and one butterfly has then been picked out with 3D Lacquer - I had great fun masking and stamping to produce this kaleidoscope of butterflies! What you don't really pick up in the pic is the blingy shimmer - but, hopefully it'll be easier to see on TV?

Hope that you like and, as always thank you for taking the time to comment - have a fab evening!
xx

A most excellent morning to you! Sneaky Peek 1.

I love it when I get new goodies to share with you and today is definitely a red letter day in that regard! Our Sheena has not only some fantastic new silhouette stamps coming your way but is introducing some new Luminarte lovelies - Pourables.. believe me, these are blingy and play very nicely with H20's and radiant rains. I have been a happy happy bunny this week :-)

Without further ado here is today's card made with the fairies set of the new stamps and featuring the  pourables which mix easily so I was able to make this gorgeous teal blue and they go a long, long way. The ribbon was also tinted with them. This is an 8 x 8 card so the stamps are very sizeable. The corner scroll is great and, as with all of Sheena's stamp sets each plate is crammed full!:

Sheena will be on Create and Craft for what promise to be some great technique shows on Friday 31st August - best book the TV remote now :-)

Have a great day! xx

Final sneak peek of the new Sheena stamps

Well house is now straight after my visitors - if somewhat quiet without the children! Sheena's show times on Create and Craft have been altered slightly and you can catch her shows at  8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Tuesday 14th August.

For my final sneak peeks I have chosen the sledging boy and back to the little one on the Trike. This time I have teamed them up with Core'dinations embossed Christmas range. The little boy is stamped onto Neenah and coloured with alcohol markers with just a hint of flowersoft polar white

The Ho Ho Ho backing is the sentiment stamp that is on this stamp plate too.

The little one on the Trike is also on Neenah and coloured with alcohol markers. and matted onto 2 circles of Christmas Core'dinations. The lace edging is coloured with alcohol markers to tone and the edge is my faithful tumbled glass distress ink.

I have had a quick peak at the stock lists for the shows and there are also Sheena's Silhouette stamps so at least she'll have something to play with when these sell out ( I think they are going to be popular!)

Monday's nearly over and the weekend is one day nearer!
xx

Lazy Saturday afternoon anyone?

Hi folks - well supermarket and iron pile conquered and now for a lazy Saturday afternoon :-) Thought I'd share a couple more sneak peeks of Sheena's stamps that launch Monday and Tuesday on C&C. The first one is the little girl this time with the Christmas Wreath Paint Fusion stamp set:

The image was stamped onto Neenah and coloured with promarkers and surrounded by Sheena's PF Christmas Wreath elements painted with Pebeo acrylic paint. The edges were then distressed using Forest Pine.

The second card is a variation on the little girl with the tricycle completed using inktense pencils and made into shaker style topper. I have to say I was quite fond of this result.. maybe less cute? I don't know, but would be pleased to know your reaction!

Hope your Saturday is superbly chilled :-) xx

A sunny good morning from me!

Thought I would share a couple of sneaky peeks today to celebrate a sunny Friday. I have gone for  one with the little boy on a sled and a monochrome one of yesterdays little girl. I am sure that you are going to have fun playing with these adorable images from Sheena!

This little chap is stamped on CC water colour card and coloured using my ol faithful Whisper pens. The background is tumbled glass distress ink. The backing card has been given a spray of CC's Spray and Sparkle iridescent glitter spray to complement the rainbow mirri used as a mat.

The second card is also a monochrome theme:

Again CC Watercolour card  but this time stamped in Stone Grey Stazon and shaded using a Charcoal grey Inktense pencil . The heart is glazed in glossy accents and matted onto red mirri. A wrap of snowfall acetate and a red bow completes the card: Perhaps an option for those not keen on colouring?

Have fun today and don't forget your sunscreen! xxx

Glorious sunshine - it must be Christmas crafting!

Good morning all,
Well what a glorious day! I am sporting some sunburn from a day at the Olympic park and watching the hockey - though I think my niece and nephews were equally impressed with the Olympic size MacDonalds on the site and the amount of people - coming from Shetland it was 10 times the  population of Lerwick!

Anyway I have digressed today's offering is using the little girl from Sheena's up and coming new stamps launching on C&C next week : Monday 13th at 9 p.m. and Tuesday 14th at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.  I have kept it simple here as the image is so appealing! Whisper watercolour pens on  CC watercolour card and a few baubles on the tree added using acrilyc paint and the wrong end of the paint brush, The addition of some peel off corners that were lurking in my stash completes the picture:

Have a great Thursday: I'm off to tackle the ironing pile before sneaking in some more Christmas crafting this afternoon! xxx

Christmas Sketchies from Sheena D :-)

Hello all - well  roll on next week  (13th / 14th August  Create and Craft)  cos if you like Sheena's sketchies range I predict that you will fall in love with these new winter/ Christmas themed images... I could play for ever!

I have chosen an adorable little Christmas fairy on a tricycle for my first sneak peek. She reminded me of my niece at the age of three who wore her sparkly pink fairy outfit with everything including welly boots - invariably on the wrong feet - definitely a magical memory. So in her honour this was dedicated to all things pink and sparkly!!

Have a wonderful evening all x

Don't mention the R**N!!!!

I will not mention the weather this post except to say I am in serious danger of getting mildew!

Onto brighter matters and a quick sneaky peek of a card made with the new wild-flower stamp set that is being launched by Sheena on C&C at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. This card is stamped onto a Luminarte and radiant rains background and then over stamped with archival black - the whole thing is liberally covered with Pearl gold shimmer mist which you can't really pick up from the card but may be able to see if it is in the show.

Have a warm and cosy Monday evening folks xxx

Good Sunday Morning

Shh! Don't tell anyone but the sky is not leaking here this morning, hope the same is true for you. I thought that I'd share another card this morning from Sheena's new silhouette stamps that launch on Wednesday. This time I have used the Highland stag set teamed with Luminarte radiant rains. I do like the fact that they stand up against dramatic backgrounds - I think the Celtic border is going to be one of those "go to" stamps too. As always the new collections are crammed full of highly usable images:

The background on the main image was made using Luminarte and the background my new favourite technique alcohol marker pens and blending solution.

Sheena's shows on 18th July are 8 a.m. on Create and Craft and 12 noon on Ideal World. I am definitely going to be watching and look forward to seeing all the hints / tips and fabulous cards from my design team pals.

Have a great Sunday xxx

Is the glass half full or...

Today's post is so late its early ( for tomorrow). I blame my new found obsession with needle felting and shortage of elastoplast! However without further ado and to make amends for my tardiness 2 cards ( one from  each of Sheena's new sets launching on Wednesday 18th July)

The first is from the stag set using distress inks on centura card:

and the second using the wild flower set, I love the sentiment in this one:

So, Wednesday 18th July C&C 8 a.m. and 12 noon on Ideal World and double discount day for C&C members too

Have a crafty weekend xxx
